The Northside Clubhouse
Northside Riding Club caters for riders who own or lease their own horses - from beginners right through to advanced levels. Our home grounds are located at the beautiful Princess Anne Arena within the St Ives Showground. These grounds are licensed from Ku-ring-gai Council. Read a light hearted look at how we got started.
Offering regular showjumping, dressage, gymkhanas, horsemanship and sporting competitions plus training clinics, fun days and cross country activities, the club holds about 40 events every year and attracts many hundreds of competitors.

Membership is over 300 and includes riders of all ages, from teenagers to those in their sixties. Riders come from all over Sydney and beyond to participate in our wide range of horseriding competitions and activities.

Northside holds clinics with some of Australia's finest riders including Dressage Olympian, Ricky MacMillan, World Cup Showjumper, Colleen Brook and the winner of Adelaide Three Day Event, Shane Rose. We ran the first ever Australian seminar with reknowned British riding teacher and horse trainer Heather Moffett.
The club sponsors an RDA (Riding For the Disabled) horse called Omar who is described as "a real gentleman". We raise funds for a variety of causes including the reconstruction of the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve devastated by the Canberra bushfires,the Tsunami Appeal and "Operation Eyesight" a project to stamp out child blindness in Africa.
