2008 Dressage Rules are now on line
Bridle numbers for Dressage Owners who have horses competing in dressage
throughout the State should apply to Dressage NSW (DNSW) to have a bridle
number for their horse. Bridle
numbers are compulsory for all official tests regardless of where the
competition is held and are recommended for all dressage events. DNSW tells
us "members
of Clubs who are not members of the EFA may also apply for numbers.
Even if competing at Associate level a number is still recommended" Application
form.
What is the benefit of a bridle number? It speeds up the introduction. Rather than stopping to introduce yourself to the judge you can just ride past and the penciller checks the number on the list you. You may find this a lot better from a warm up point of view.
All competitors should familiarise themselves with the rules for using the dressage warmup arena on the Risk Management page
