Mounted Games Competitions

 

There will be little preparation required to attend the practice days and competitions. The mounted games will be aimed at all levels of rider and horse ability. There is also going to be the chance for pairs and team competitions.

What will I need to be able to do ?

In this phase we want to encourage everybody. So if you need to be lead or you and your horse are just learning, there will be separate classes (same games on the day) for you.

To be competitive you will need to …
• be able to ride one handed
• be able to carry objects while riding
• have a horse that can stop / go quickly

The spirit of mounted games is that it is supposed to be fun, for any type of horse, rider and to develop good sportsmanship. In this spirit of this, it is preferred that during competition horses are to be ridden without whips or spurs
