Thursday
Anwen Keeling and Tuxedo working on an exercise with Chrissie Johnson
What is Thunderbirds?
On the first Thursday of the month during School terms, we meet either at Northside or another equestrian venue for a variety of activities (dressage, jumping, games and a lot of chatting). Ideal for getting your young horse out in a relaxed atmosphere.
We usually have an instructor and book into group lessons from between 10 and 2. The cost varies with the instructor and group size but is normally $35-40. If you don't want to join a lesson you are very welcome to come up and ride around on the grounds for which the charge is $10 per person. Please bring your own lunch.
Thunderbirds is aimed primarily at members who are given priority for lessons, but non members are very welcome to "try before you buy". If you are not an EFA member or a member of an EFA affiliated and insured club you will need to pay an additional $20 day public liability and sign a waiver form (download from entry forms page)

September 4th Members and their friends OPEN DAY
10:00 – 2:00pm
Cost: Members $10 per horse & Non-members $15 per horse
Ground Fee for all riders: $5
Public Liability for non-members who are not a member of the EFA
or another EFA affiliated club (eg Warringah Dressage): $20 (please bring
a signed waiver with you).
Pay on the day!
Please bring your $ and your Horse Attendance form with you to
the clubhouse before you ride! There will be an envelope on the table
for forms and money (thank you for your honesty – it’s hard
to be in the clubhouse and ride at the same time!).
Dressage cones and markers are available to be set up – an arena
can be organised if we have 8 people wanting half hour slots at an extra
cost of $10 per half hour (currently 3 people are interested)
Show Jumps may be set up and used (as long as you pack them away).
Cross Country Jumps cannot be used without the supervision of an
EFA coach.
You can ride at your own leisure, ride with friends, bring your own coach or book a lesson with one of Northside’s local coaches.
A new rider ground fee has been introduced in order for us to be able to
assist the council in upgrading our grounds. It’s only $5 per rider
(on top of the horse ground fee we normally have at Open Days). $15 to use
our grounds is still a great benefit to members. We hope you understand.
Thank you for your support.
