Showjumping Competitions
Show jumping competitions are pre-entry, using the Global Entries Online system (www.globalentriesonline.com ). Once entries close and the draw is finalised, riders are sent a text/email with details of their draw and the full draw is posted on the Global Entries website. After the competition the results for each class are posted on the Global Entries website and the NRC website.
Why use Global Entries Online?
The Global Entries Online entry system allows the rider to register their details once and then enter whichever competitions are listed on the website (other clubs besides NRC use this system). The details required to register include the rider’s name, EFA number (if a member), address and contact details; once the rider is registered, they can register their horse(s) – details required include the horse’s name, EFA number (if registered) and stable address. The stable address is required so that this information can be provided to the DPI, if requested. Once the rider and horse(s) are registered, riders don’t have to fill in Horse Attendance forms or remember to include EFA numbers with their entry.
Show Jumping Program for February 2009
Competition Format
We run an official 105cm class as well as an unofficial one as long as there are sufficient numbers to meet the EFA requirements for number of entries. What is the difference?
Unofficial Classes NRC members $10 per class; Non members $10 per class + $20 day membership (plus $20 EFA public liability insurance for non EFA members)
Competitors who are neither NRC nor EFA members nor members of an EFA insured club such as SSJC or Warringah Dressage must complete a waiver form on the Entry form page at each and every event and it must be signed by the parent or legal guardian for under 18s.
The courses for the first classes are open for walking from 8.30am. The courses may change for the later classes
Dress: Polo shirt and light jodhpurs, PC uniform permitted. Competitors should walk the course in their riding attire, including helmet and whip (if you intend to carry a whip while competing)
November Championships - Formal Dress
Ribbons will be awarded to 6th place
Competitions are run under FEI/EFA rules.
Helping at the Show jumping
Volunteers are needed to help run the show jumping competitions; without your help they just would not happen! We need people to set up the course on the Saturday before and for a variety of jobs on the Sunday, including penciling for the judges, marshalling the riders, packing up the jumps and organising lunch for the judges.
Setting up on the Saturday is a great way to see the course before you come and ride on the Sunday, and the course designer can answer questions you might have about the course. If you are riding on the Sunday maybe you could help for an hour or so before or after your classes; every bit helps and the more people we have the easier it is for everyone. Helpers receive NRC vouchers that can be used for NRC competitions or merchandise.
